Are you a university student eager to improve your Russian language skills while discovering the rich cultural heritage of Central Europe? Join our two-week Summer School of Russian Language and Culture at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague.

Designed for international students, the program combines intensive language instruction with cultural immersion in one of Europe’s most beautiful historic cities. Whether you want to strengthen your communication skills, deepen your understanding of Russian grammar, or gain greater confidence in everyday situations, our experienced instructors will help you achieve your goals in a friendly and supportive learning environment.

The program offers 46 hours of instruction at the A2 and B1 levels, taught in two parallel groups with curricula adapted to each proficiency level. Classes emphasize the balanced development of all language skills, with particular attention to communicative competence in both spoken and written Russian. Students work with modern teaching materials developed by lecturers from the Department of East European Studies, complemented by authentic videos, media texts, and a wide range of contemporary resources that reflect real-life language use and Russian-speaking cultures.

Learning extends beyond the classroom. Participants enjoy a diverse cultural and social program that includes an orientation session, welcome and farewell dinners, a Russian cooking workshop, guided walks through Prague’s historic center, optional visits to Prague Castle and other city districts, and numerous opportunities to practice Russian in an international setting. Throughout the program, students receive comprehensive support, including assistance with obtaining a Charles University student ID, guidance from dedicated staff, and access to a 24/7 emergency contact.
