Lev Gumilev vs Samuel Huntington: A Soviet „Clash of Civilizations“?

Public lecture delivered by Mark Bassin dealing with ideas of Russian philosopher Lev Gumilev in the context of Huntington’s vision in his famous book „Clash o Civilizations“.

Mark Bassin – professor of the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies and the Department of the History of Ideas at the Södertörn University (Stockholm). Author and co-author of the books „Imperial Visions“, „Soviet and Post-Soviet Identities“, or „Between Europe and Asia“.

Lecture will be delivered in English.
